INSECURITY: MOVIE ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING TO BE SHOT IN DUBAI DESERT

Feelers reaching Superbassniaja indicate that due to the problem of insecurity in Northern Nigeria and the Sahara Desert, Osita Osemene’s Chasing A Mirage: My search For an Oasis, will be shot in Dubai, UAE.

An insider who opened up to Superbassnaija revealed that the decision to shoot in the desert of Dubai was due to security challenges in the country: “I can reveal to you that plans are ongoing for the shoot of the movie. However, it would be shot in the desert of Dubai and not the Sahara Desert where the true life story actually transpired. This as a result of insecurity problems. The activities of Boko Haram and the recent crisis in Mali and Libya make Dubai very attractive.”

Meanwhile, the source added that the project Ambassador, Joke Silva, is working tirelessly round the clock to bring the movie to reality. She and Osemene where recently interviewed by popular TV host, Mo Abudu on EbonyLife TV at Tinapa Studios, where the pair spoke extensively about the project.
Osemene is a victim of human trafficking. His book, Chasing A Mirage: My Search for an Oasis chronicles his 91 day ordeal in the Sahara Desert. Today he is the founder and coordinator of Patriotic Citizens Initiatives, an NGO which seeks to create awareness about the dangers of  human trafficking.
